Producer and Half of the Artistic Vision of Sigma’s 21, DirtyPrettyThin stopped to talk briefly:

“DirtyPrettyThin’s RAW Project was a bit of a misfire. It was a bit conceited and arrogant and a little too safe and boring. I think personally there was only one point that I thought WOW, and that would be “One of Them Asses” just because it was such a great image and such a great poem. Out of all the project it was the best… The repackaging of previous poems were okay, but some of them weren’t worthy of being in a Greatest Hit’s inspired package… This is New $Hit?… bad choice…”
“But working with Sigma, man he’s a rare personality I kind of found myself elevating over and beyond what I usually do. Every moment I was concerned that it was tired or dull, did I tear it up and throw it away so to speak. So I became very strict, usually with every project there’s a few fillers but this one I refused to have a single filler. Hell, for the first time in my career I found myself making alternate versions. That was fun, with Sigma I treaded new ground. I think artistically and poetically I’ve pushed the envelope, certainly I’ve pushed my own boundaries and I feel better for it. I’ve branched out this time and done different things…”
“Sigma’s 21 is kind of like this elaborate metaphor, it’s kind of part me and part Sigma, we became this symbiotic art force and this is what we came up with. I’ve worked with him for many projects but this time we decided to just go Fuck it! And do what we wanted…”
“That’s the spirit of 21, it’s this whole we don’t give a shit mentality… but at the same time it’s also a very self-aware mentality that we’re basically falling from grace, and it’s gone… whether it’s our souls or our careers - who knows! We’ll have to wait for the feedback before we can gauge our success!”
